Sarah Burke Memorial Stickers Banned By IOC

The International Olympic Committee is remaining firm in their decision to ban the athletes from wearing the Sarah Burke memorial stickers during the Olympic games.
Burke, a Canadian freestyle skier, was killed two years ago, in January 2012, after sustaining injuries while training, in Park City, Utah. Since then, fellow athletes have been mourning her death, and wanted to wear a sticker on their helmets to honor their fallen friend.

Nike Air Yeezy 2′s are officially here! Or at least they were for a brief moment.
It appears “Red October” has come in February this year, with the impromptu release of Kanye West‘s Nike Air Yeezy 2′s. The highly anticipated rare kicks were released on the Nike website on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 1:00 p.m.
Nike made the big announcement to avid sneakerheads via Twitter, posting that the trendy red sneaker was available for purchase. It definitely didn’t take long for the news to spread.

In 2011, Google launched the first Chromebooks – a laptop featuring Google’s very own Chrome OS. The machines and accompanying operating system were marketed as an affordable alternative to Windows for those who use computers to browse the Web and nothing more. Since then, Google has become a bit more ambitious with Chrome OS and its recent moves make it seem as if the company is targeting Windows.

Sanborn Fined Over Iraq Map Outsourcing

The U.S. Department of Justice today announced that the Sanborn Map Company has been fined $2.1 million over false contract claims it submitted with regards to its Army Corps of Engineers contracts in Iraq.
According to the DOJ, Sanborn was contracted to produce convoy route maps for U.S. Marines and other forces in Iraq from 2005 to 2011. Though Sanborn was required contractually to do all the map work itself, the company instead outsourced the work to local subcontractors. The decision ended up causing delays on Sanborn’s convoy mapping projects.
