The BBC welcomed 22-year-old British snowboarder Aimee Fuller into the announcing booth for the women’s snowboarding slopestyle on Sunday.
Broadcasters Ed Leigh and Tom Warwood joined Fuller, commentating the event.
The network faced criticism after Fuller and the commentators cheered when fellow-British snowboarder’s competitor fell.
While Fuller didn’t make the finals as a competitor, she rooted for teammate Jenny Jones to take home the gold. Austria’s Anna Gasser fell during her turn, resulting in Fuller’s controversial cheers.

Magna Carta Arrives In US For Exhibit

One of the most important documents ever, in the history of democracy, has made its way to the United States to be a part of an exhibit that will open on Friday.
A copy of the Magna Carta, which dates back nearly 800 years, was flown across the Atlantic Ocean, from England’s shores to its new temporary home at the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences.
The document will remain with the exhibit for six months before it is flown back home for its 800 year anniversary.

James Franco Will Direct A Film About The Making Of “The Room”

Just in case there was still anyone thinking that James Franco does not want to be a part of everything that he possibly can, it has now been announced that he is adapting yet another book.
Franco will direct a film about a low-budget film called The Room. The film will be called The Disaster Artist, and it is an adaptation of the behind-the-scenes memoir titled The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room. The book was co-written by Greg Sestero, who also appeared in the film, and Tom Bissell, a journalist.

Comedian-actor Chris Kattan has been charged with driving under the influence after crashing his car into a highway construction truck.
According to CNN, a California Highway Patrol spokesman reported that the crash took place around 2:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10 on the Ventura Freeway.

Speed skater Olga Graf won Russia its first medal of the 2014 Olympic Games on Sunday. In a surprising win, she took the bronze medal in the women’s 3000 meter event at Adler Arena.
