Klout is reportedly about to be acquired by Lithium Technologies for at least $100 million. This is according to Re/code’s Kara Swisher and Liz Gannes, both generally reliable sources of such stories.
Neither company has commented on or confirmed the deal yet, but Re/code’s sources say it is “signed but not closed.”

Barcelona-based security researcher Christian Lopez has just revealed that Facebook has effectively plugged a vulnerability within Instagram that would have enabled hackers to turn private photos public. According to Lopez, it took Facebook’s security team nearly 6 months to fix the issue.

New York Cockfighting Ring Is Busted

A cockfighting ring, referred to as “Operation Angry Birds” was raided in three separate attempts on Sat and Sunday, discovering a bloody late-night cockfight in the dark and dirty basement of a vacant Queens store.
Police discovered birds waiting for their fights kept in sacks hanging from the walls, officials said on Sunday.

Prince Harry Assassination Suspect in Jail

The man who threatened to kill Prince Harry was ordered to spend three years in jail by a judge on Monday. Ashraf Islam, a British Muslim convert, was found guilty of threatening to murder.
The 31-year-old walked into a police station in west London on May 23, 2013 and told police he intended to kill the prince. Police searched Islam’s hotel room, where he had flown into London from Thailand, and seized his laptop. They did not find a weapon.
