Uncle Ben’s Rice- What Was It Recalled?

Several flavors of Uncle Ben’s Flavor Infused Rice have been recalled after students at a school in Texas became ill after eating it. According the reports, the student began to experience allergic reaction-like symptoms after eating the Mexican flavored rice products. Some of the symptoms the students experienced include rashes, welts, and flushed faces.
Although these symptoms were only caused by one flavor of the rice, Uncle Ben’s decided to do a voluntary recall on all of their infused rice products. The products that have been recalled are:

Oscar Pistorius Murder Trial to Start Soon

The mother of the woman Olympian sprinter Oscar Pistorius is accused of murdering has announced she will attend his trial.
June Steenkamp, the mother of Pistorius’ girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp whom he is accused of killing, will attend the trial, along with other family members, in order to gain “closure.” This will be the first time anyone in Reeva’s immediate family has attended the runner’s court dates.

Kelly Clark Mistaken For ‘American Idol’ Star

Olympian snowboarder Kelly Clark and American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson have been mistaken for one another. While their names and Twitter handles are similar (@kellyclarkfdn and @kelly_clarkson) their pastimes are completely unrelated.
Clark is a gold-medal Olympian and five-time winner of the Winter X Games in the halfpipe.
Kelly Clarkson is the season-one winner American Idol and a three-time Grammy winning artist.

Wyoming Firing Squad: Lawmaker’s Execution Proposal Won’t Be Considered

Wyoming lawmaker Bruce Burns sponsored a bill to make death by firing squad an option in his state, but the state senate voted against considering the bill on Tuesday. Burns proposed this alternate method to carry out a capital punishment sentence last month. Now that the firing squad option is off the table in Wyoming, Missouri is the only other state trying to pass this method of execution.
